Longevity Insurance - The Wave of the Future?
Our speaker will be W. Waldan Lloyd of Callister Nebeker & McCullough. Mr. Lloyd received his law degree from the University of Utah in 1974. He is admitted to practice before the Utah state and federal courts, the United States Tax Court and the Tenth and Eleventh Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals. He is a member of the Utah State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Utah State Bar Tax Section, the American Bar Association Sections on Taxation, Labor and Employment, and the ABA Taxation Section Employee Benefits Committee. He is a Charter Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel and a current member of the ACEBC Long-Range Planning Committee. He currently is vice-chair of the Employee Benefits Committee of the ABA Section of Taxation, as well as the immediate past-chair and co-chair of the ESOP Subcommittee and the Subcommittee on Fiduciary Responsibility and Litigation, respectively, of the Employee Benefits Committee of the ABA Section of Taxation.
Mr. Lloyd is a past director and president and a current steering committee member of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference (WP&BC), Salt Lake Chapter, a past member of the WP&BC Joint Program Committee, and was a co-chair for the WP&BC 2002 annual meeting. He was a six-year member of the EP:EO Council for the Dallas Key District of the Internal Revenue Service and chaired the Council for two years. In addition, he chaired the TE/GE Council for the Central Mountain Area of the Internal Revenue Service. He is a charter member and immediate past chair of the Pacific Coast Area TE/GE Council. Mr. Lloyd chairs the Employee Benefits Section of Callister Nebeker & McCullough, and is a shareholder of the firm.
