About Our Speaker:
Gabriela Benitez, Licensed HIP, OSHA, Benefits Consultant.
As a native Spanish-speaking Latina, she presents a holistic vision focused on fostering business growth through innovative solutions. Her strategic and comprehensive approaches focus on reducing healthcare premiums, championing employee education, and integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion.
With over 20 years of experience with industry leaders such as IMA Benefits, Aetna, BCBS, and UnitedHealthcare, Gabriela has emerged as the trusted go-to consultant for companies with a significant Latino workforce.
Gabriela - 2023 Salt Lake SHRM President. Utah Hispanic Chamber named her person of the year and the state of Utah recognized Gabriela for her healthcare reform and exchange efforts. She has done many speaking engagements, keynote speaker, moderator, panels, and cohorts; Utah Valley University, Salt Lake Chamber, and various SHRM chapters. Also wrote a national article for National Business Magazine, “The Power of Hispanic Inclusion in the Workplace.”
She is driven by a personal mission focused on education and awareness across crucial areas of healthcare access, utilization, and social determinants of health. Drawing from both personal experiences and extensive research, Gabriela has not only developed a profound understanding but has also actively developed proven solutions.
Gabriela's greatest joy is spending quality time with her two boys, husband, and cherished dogs, Lobo and Leo. Her passion extends to mentoring and participating in non-profit boards.
