Annual Ethics Meeting - Integrity: Integrity is a matter of a person’s word, nothing more and nothing less. We as a society apply integrity using the normative use of the word, what we believe it should be. During our meeting, we will explore integrity in a positive context, or, what it is. In this one hour session we explore what it means to be a person of integrity through our actions and words.
About Our Presenter:
Presented by BJ Thomson
BJ Thomson, a native of Utah, attended Westminster College where he graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration. BJ is currently the Managing Partner & COO at Milestone Financial Engineers, LLC, an outsourced CFO & Technology company specializing in providing accounting, tax, technology, and operational support,including leadership development trainings. BJ has received numerous awards and recognition from organizations such as the Utah Association of Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants. He has served in various leadership and board positions within each of these organizations. Throughout his accounting and management career, he has sampled a diverse number of industries from manufacturing to health insurance, even the music industry! His entrepreneurial activities include ownership in a national franchise brand, GNC, as well as an owner in Kingfisher Media, a successful supplement company specializing in sport & lifestyle nutraceuticals including brands such as High-T and Demolish. He is an active member on the Salt Lake Community College Program Advisory Committee, and works with and mentors young professionals and students. BJ is a devout soccer fan, enjoys traveling with his golf clubs, and not afraid to admit he is a Trekkie.
