Kim has been with Principal® over 20 years and has over 30 years of experience in the retirement plan industry. His areas of expertise include ESOPs and executive compensation planning. Kim uses his income tax and accounting background to help companies understand cash flow needs related to an ESOP. He consults with clients to help them understand how to most efficiently and effectively utilize the company’s equity value to meet stated goals and objectives. His engagements include companies considering an ESOP, second-stage transactions, sale of an ESOP company and sustainability of an ESOP company.

Kim is a member of Employee-Owned S Corporations of America (ESCA), the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) and The ESOP Association (TEA). He is a member of ESCA’s Advisory Committee, the TEA Finance Committee and the TEA Executive Committee of TEA’s Northwest Chapter. In addition, he is a past president of the Boise Chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Conference.
